The URS10 test strips are an integral part of the Biosense uCheck mobile urine analysis system. The URS10 is to be used for the routine urinalysis and comes in a separate color coded packaging. Developed for testing ten urine components, analysis by this single-use strip involves measuring a simple color change.

The Biosense URS10 checks for the following ten parameters in urine; Urobilinogen, Glucose, Bilirubin, Ketones, Specific gravity, Blood, pH, Protein, Nitrite, Leukocytes. This strip aids in rapid analysis requiring as less as 2 seconds contact with the urine sample. Further on, the test involves imaging of the strip at preset intervals by the reader followed by calculation of the values. Though calibrated to accuracy, the strip can yield false-positive and negative reporting in the presence of interfering chemicals in the urine.

The Biosense URS10 strip bottle is available in pack size of 100 test strips in each.

1. Switch ON the uCheck device and start the uCheck application from the main screen

2. Register and fill all the patient details

3. 10 mL of mid-stream urine in a clean test tube in a necessity for this test

4. Once the screen blinks with instructions to make the test strip ready, take one URS10 clean strip from the container and dip it in for not more than 2 sec.

5. Ensure all the test strips are completely soaked and dab the excess away on a tissue paper

6. The strip is to be then placed on the color mat and slide into the analyzer

7. Press “Begin” on the application for detection and final reporting
